Why a Parental Rights Amendment?
With years of experience and a prolific knowledge of law, constitutional lawyer Michael Farris well knew what he was doing when he defined the liberty of parenthood as a “fundamental,” rather than an “absolute” freedom in his Parental Rights Amendment. This means simply that the right to parenthood in any way deemed worthy by the parents is wholly ensured. However, even our First and Second Amendment rights are not absolute. We cannot resort to human sacrifice or murder while simultaneously claiming our rights to religion and arms. An amendment would only decrease the cases in which parents are wrongly accused of crime—-instances in which they have their children unreasonably taken from them. Prosecutors would be required to offer valid, seriously considered evidence in order to even initiate their causes. Parentalrights.org states:
“Because fundamental rights are so important to our freedom as Americans, the government must meet a heightened burden of proof in order to restrict those rights.”
In other words, rather than claim child abuse merely because of a humble means of living or feeding a child “junkfood,” legitimate abuse would actually surface to attention. I do think it would be much more beneficial to consider the implications involved should we not support a Parental Rights Amendment. Let us consider child abuse here. Innumerable statistics link child abuse/aggression (physical, emotional) with abortion—-which in itself is the ultimate child abuse (http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2007/mar/07031301.html). The UN Convention On the Rights Of the Child (the Parental Rights Amendment’s legal opposer) asserts the child’s “right” to abortion. It also prohibits parental knowledge/imposition in such a decision. If we are truly concerned for the well-being of the child, we will connect the dots, and support legislation which would stop the ultimate child abuse, and give children the right to live.
Cases have also disclosed child abuse in foster homes—-concerning not only the parents, but the biological children involved, as well. From a website:
“Most foster parents want to do the best they can for the children in their care — like most parents, period. But the abusive minority is significant and probably growing. And abuse in foster care doesn’t just include abuse by foster parents; often it involves foster children abusing one another.”
Obviously, the attempts of so-called “Child Defense” organizations are not exactly error-free. If anything, the family-disintegrations resultant have proven only to increase abuse incidents. No, government imposition is not the answer. My point: No solution is perfect (we are all born in sin); only a Parental Rights Amendment would in contrast protect parents rather than abuse them.
Should good, loving parents who want the best for their children suffer for those who do not? In addition, who is to say that government officials have any more insight/capability in choosing replacement parents? Government officials, bureaucrats, and social workers are only people, too. I find it unfortunate that so many people deify these positions. God is to be the Standard of all behavior. He has commanded parents to the charge of their children (Proverbs 22:6). Any undue infringement upon this covenant would be an offense to another’s religious and natural rights. Just another thought: the majority of social workers are parents, too. Why would they have supreme interests in children (who are not even theirs) more at heart than the children’s own natural parents? As the Supreme Court in 1977 once ruled: “The liberty interest in family privacy has its source, and its contours are ordinarily to be sought, not in state law, but in intrinsic human rights, as they have been understood in “this Nation’s history and tradition.” While parenthood should be protected, it is not currently explicit in the Constitution. I would encourage all to consider this issue, and ensure the happiness of children by encouraging the unity of the family, and by protecting parents!

James Jay Lee Discovers What Liberals And Democrats Have Been Pushing For Years
http://prolifeunity.com
James Jay Lee is holding hostages at the Discovery Channel building and saying, what most people will agree, are some very strange things, including:
"All programs on Discovery Health-TLC must stop encouraging the birth of any more parasitic human infants and the false heroics behind those actions," the list of demands read.
"In those programs' places, programs encouraging human sterilization and infertility must be pushed. All former pro-birth programs must now push in the direction of stopping human birth, not encouraging it."
The funny thing is, liberals and Democrats talk like this normally. I've been to many college campuses across America, participating in events known as GAP (Genocidal Awareness Project), which are put together by CBR, the Center for Bio-Ethical Reform.
At these events we show college students what the truth of abortion looks like and compare it to slavery and the Holocaust. I’m not here to argue these points right now, so if don’t bother me if you disagree with the premise of their displays, argue with them.
My point is, I’ve heard the comments made by James Lee at almost every single college. Those comments aren’t just made by students, but also by adults, yes, liberal Democrats of course. Let’s go through his comments one at a time:
1) “parasitic human infants” - Yes, pro-abortion liberal Democrats acknowledge we are talking about human beings in the womb. Even Barack Obama, our wonderful pro-abortion president, acknowledged this fact when he said “I don’t want my daughters punished with a baby”, referring to the possibility of an unwanted pregnancy by them. Nice job Pres, that’s the way to stimulate good will, tell everyone how you want to kill your potentially unwanted grandchildren.
2) “human sterilization and infertility” - Nothing new there, though liberal Democrats and most people in general want a perfect “no-baby” product. Remember when our wonderful government forcibly sterilized women a couple of hundred years ago? Oh, I’m sorry, that was as recently as the 1960s! Not only has this crime against humanity been implemented on Americans just 50 years ago, a DEMOCRAT is now proposing to pay poor women $1,000 to have their fallopian tubes tied. What a wonderful humanitarian New Orleans State Rep. John LaBruzzo is. We need someone like him in every state to prevent the unwanted from breeding. Don’t we? Click here to listen for yourself what this benevolent DEMOCRAT has to say.
3) “stopping human birth” - Liberal Democrats are opposed to “human birth”. It’s strange, but they are move in favor of saving the earth or a fish than they are humans. They want to stop all pollution, unless they have to drive a smaller car or stop flying their private jets.
A number of times I have asked people if it were okay to kill disabled toddlers or people who are incapable of taking care of themselves. Many pro-abortion people don’t see a problem with either of those. The Nazis killed over 70,000 unwanted, disabled people, the British have discussed killing unwanted, disabled toddlers and other countries have had this discussion as well. As we saw with Terri Schiavo, a living, breathing human can be killed in the public eye without a problem simply because her husband gave the permission for what many people refer to as a “public assassination”.
So, don’t look at James Lee & the Discovery Channel incident as an isolated incident. Let’s just call it par for the course for pro-abortion / pro-death people, like DEMOCRATS. Yes, some Republicans can be just as bad. But overall they don’t compare to the outright pro-death Democrats.
James Lee was just shot for something he might describe as “late-term abortions” for his hostages. I can imagine his attorney using that as his defense.
UPDATE - James Jay Lee has been shot & killed. A victim of Democrat madness if you ask me.

New Stanek WND column, “Collusion in the Heartland”

Planned Parenthood of the Heartland has taken Nike's "Just do it" challenge to tackle life with gusto and run the other way with it.
Without checking with any ruling body in the state of IA whether their plan was legal, PP abortionists 2 years ago began dispensing RU-486 abortion pills by computer screen to mothers scattered throughout Iowa, some hundreds of miles away....
It is a felony in IA for anyone other than licensed physicians to commit abortion. Since physical contact is never made with telemed abortions, or even possible in most cases, PP's scheme was questionably legal at best, criminal at worst....
Operation Rescue, through the IA Open Records Act, has received 900 pages of e-mails sent between officials and staff members at the Attorney General's office, IA Board of Medicine and PP of the Heartland. They smell of collusion.
Example: Citizen's Information Center is a Boston, MS, citizen's watchdog group that investigates the medical industry through public-records requests.
In July, CIC formally requested from IBOM copies of the licenses of PP of the Heartland's abortionists as well as any record of complaints and disciplinary actions against them. These are supposed to be available to the public.
But the Board gave PP a heads up and ample time to file an injunction to stop the release of records to CIC.
Here's an e-mail from PP attorney Mike Falstrom to Kent Nebel, IBOM's director of legal affairs (click to enlarge):

A Hospital is trying to execute a Christian Pastor - Call now to save him!
Pastor Joshua Kulendran Mayandy was being treated in a hospital in Brampton, Canada. They have now decided to withhold food and water from him, allowing him to slowly die of dehydration and starvation.
We’re talking about someone who can communicate, breath and move. If we allow Mayandy to die he will be one of many who have been killed by the culture of death, beginning with Terri Schiavo. The hospital has removed Mayandy’s feeding tube and it’s only a matter of time until he dies.
Make a difference right now! Click here to call the ICU and the administration at the hospital and let them know you are praying for them to allow Joshua Mayandy to live. Do not be mean, let our numbers and our God do the talking please. The main number for the switchboard is 416 494-2120. Use the administration extension 33467 and leave your message with them.
Can we make a difference? In 2006, we received a letter from Melanie Childers, the sister of Andrea Clark, another woman in a similar situation. Melanie asked us to help her save her sister. We rang the phones off the hook at the hospital, and in the end, we were credited for saving Andrea Clark.
Melanie Childers said:
“As you know, I’m a Democrat, but one that is against abortion. I agree with the Republicans on that issue, at least. After this experience, though, I have to tell you: I am in absolute awe of the power that the right to life people generate. I, of course, first posted on Democratic Underground, and I have to give them some credit: they let my post stand against the rules about posting something like this under the wrong topic. They also let it stand, even though it had people’s (my sister’s and mine) personal numbers in it. And, of course, some people there forwarded it to other blogs. And everyone there was very supportive in their comments, as well.”
So make a difference right now!

Genesis 4:19-21 (Pt. 3) Thought/Prayer: Play on Heartstrings. Topics: 2 at end.
Five generations down from Cain, Adam’s son, a man named Lamech was born. We are told, “And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah. And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle. And his brother’s name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ.” KJV http://www.bible.com (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)
While I’m harping on a harp-theme, I’m considering the similarities among stringed instruments. The guitar is one of these, as are banjos, violins, and cellos. Even a piano is a stringed instrument (a struck-strings one), with strings hidden within the piano except when they are exposed on a grand piano with the top open. Inside pianos are little hammers with softening pieces of felt on them, and when a key is pushed down, these hammers strike strings and cause vibrations. The longer the string, the lower the note played.
We say we have heartstrings when speaking of love and such. Sometimes we say that God plays on our heartstrings. Could we say that He plays on the strings of a preborn baby’s tiny beating heart? Yes. Maybe our God strikes those tender strings with the softest of felts. He is saying to that new small person that He loves him, He loves her, and He loves Mommy and Daddy. Babies after they are born “play on the heart strings” of all their loved ones – and maybe even strangers passing by at the mall. We sort of just notice babies wherever they are.
Our Lord’s Holy Spirit is in the business of pulling on our heartstrings to convict us of the need of a Savior. It’s sometimes like creating a clarion tone when we give ourselves to Him. And, to be a bit light here, he sometimes has to “harp” at us for years, decades, before we finally give in and give ourselves over. Lord, today let us pray for families with a crisis pregnancy in the middle of them, that they will be in tune with Your will for this baby, which is, of course LIFE. We ask that your Spirit play ever longer and ever so sweetly to call these families to the right decision. Woo them, if you will, Lord, to You and to LIFE.
Topics: Pray for God to convict for LIFE wherever abortion is entering the scenario, that LIFE will be thought of a million million times more than death.
All the governors in our nation
“Not Republican Enough”?
On the Megan Kelly show on Fox there was a woman doing a piece on the Alaska Gubernatorial race. Both Megan and this woman sounded totally surprised that the incumbent Sen Lisa Murkowski was losing to the newcomer Joe Miller. Speculation included a comment that perhaps Murkowsky was "not Republican enough". No mention of that fact that Murkowski is not as pro-life as Joe Miller. I'm not sure, but it seems to me that this little fact might have had something to do with this primary. I'm sure the pro-life issue & the fact that Sarah Palin endorsed Miller were significant factors in his win.
I pray the desire for people in office who are more pro-life becomes a trend.
