Beanie Babies are helping “Sidewalk Counselors” to save real babies!

Well, actually God is the one saving the babies AND their Moms.

Here is the “rest of the story”:

There are eleven or more abortion mills in the Atlanta Metro area & they all do abortions at least 3 or 4 days a week at the rate of 10-30 a day (sometimes more). We want desperately to be able to help the Lord save all those babies every week.

The women and their unborn babies do not need the false compassion of abortion, but true love, real love, love that is life giving. The Beanie Babies help us portray that kind of love to these often desperate women and men. The “sidewalk counselors” and their prayer partners with them at the abortion mills are the last hope for changing minds and saving families. We are all trying to take the love of Jesus to these woman and their vulnerable unborn babies.

Several months ago one of the counselors tried the idea of having Beanie babies work for her in gaining entry into the consciousness of some of these moms. And guess what, the Beanies are so cute and loveable that it worked! Moms are stopping to talk with us, Moms are believing that we are there out of love! And moms are changing their minds.

We put the little Beanie Baby in a clear plastic bag, together with a nice note, contact info and a list of all the Crisis Pregnancy Centers in the area plus the national help number - 1-800-395 HELP (remember that one).  Others attach sandwich bags with the info inside to the stuffed animals with a rubberband.

Now, you know what Beanie Babies are helping us to do! I would like to be able to supply all the “Sidewalk Counselors” with an unlimited supply of Beanies. They don’t need to be new, just clean and they don’t have to be the “brand” name (Ty). So, if you could ask your friends, neighbors and relatives for all their forgotten Beany Babies, we can place them where they will be loved again!

We’d love to have you on the sidewalk praying with us, so anytime you can come, just let me know.  I go on Friday mornings at 6:15, but there are other times available.

You may bring the Beanies to me at St. Brigid Catholic Church, or I can come and pick them up. I remember from working Beacon of Hope’s yard sales that each year a huge number of stuffed toys of all sizes are donated. Usually at least 2 large black garbage bags of Beanies are donated. So, they are often an item that people are willing to give up - since the idea of “getting rich quick” from their Beanie Baby collection has passed!

For more than 20 years I have fought abortion.  In 1986, God allowed me to pioneer the Abortion Malpractice Effort.  “Abortion may be legal but malpractice is not!” Abortion has two victims: one dead, one wounded.  In 1986 we began playing offense.  Hundreds of women have sued abortion clinics for malpractice.  The number of abortion clinics in this country has dropped from 2,000 in 1986 to fewer than 750 at the end of 2007.

But at the same time, every baby that could have been aborted in 1973 after the Roe v. Wade decision can still be aborted in 2007.  The only difference is today’s methods are more barbaric.

It is time to ask: Why, as God’s people, have we made so little progress against such an obviously sinful practice?  I would offer three reasons.

1. There is little prayer—public or private.  In most churches, if public prayer is made at all from the pulpit, it is once a year on Sanctity of Life Sunday.  And further, congregations are not encouraged nor exhorted to spend time in earnest, private prayer.  “…ye have not, because ye ask not.” James 4:2

2. There is little knowledge of God’s law. “They that forsake the law praise the wicked, but such as keep the law contend with them.” Prov. 28:4 We are unfit to contend with the “Goliath of Abortion” when not even 1% of Christians who regularly attend church can name all ten of the Commandments.

3. As God’s people, we have yet to repent of our own abortions. I am talking about deacons taking their daughters to abortion clinics. I am also taking about the widespread use of IUDs and birth control pills among Christian married couples. Both contraceptive devices work at least part of the time by aborting a newly conceived baby at a week to two weeks after conception.  A beam is in our own eye!

On April 26, 1989 the U.S. Supreme Court heard the Webster Case.  The State of Missouri had passed a law that said, “Life begins at conception.” Frank Sussman the attorney for the abortion industry said if Missouri were allowed to have a law that said that life begins at conception, then the Court would have to deal with certain forms of birth control.  He went on to say: “The most common forms . . . of contraception today—IUD’s, low-dose birth control pills, which are the safest type of birth control pills available—act as abortifacients.  They are correctly labeled as both.” No reputable medical authority will dispute his statement! How is it, that an ungodly attorney for the abortion industry, knows this information, and the church of Jesus Christ, which is supposed to have “the manifold wisdom of God,” doesn’t seem to know it?

“Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!  I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.  Ps 81:13-14

How did we come to this place of aborting our own children?  First, we made the assumption that God’s command at the Creation “Be fruitful, and multiply” did not apply to our generation. Second, we no longer saw children as the Lord’s blessing as stated in Psalm 127, 128 and elsewhere.  We seem to have forgotten that “the just shall live by faith;” and further forgotten that we are commanded to “Present your bodies a living sacrifice…which is your reasonable service.” Until 1930 every Christian denomination declared birth control to be sin.  Today, a Christian couple going to the pastor of the typical Bible-preaching church will receive the same counsel about family size and birth control methods (with the exception of abortion) as they would if they had gone to the local director of Planned Parenthood.

When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, he saw the people dancing around the Golden Calf and said to Aaron, “What did this people unto thee that thou hast brought so great a sin upon them?” And Aaron said… “Thou knowest the people that they are set on mischief.” Similarly, pastors think that the people before them in their congregation have their hearts set on birth control.  They do not; they just don’t know Certainly there are some few who and will defend their right to practice birth control with the same vehemence that the godless defend abortion.  Abortionists see abortion as the most fundamental right in our Constitution and in the eyes of some worldly Christians; birth control is THE most fundamental Christian liberty. 

It is estimated that abortifacient birth control methods account for more than 13 million abortions a year.  Ten times the number of all the surgical abortions per year!!! 

My friend, you and I are among the watchmen on the wall (Ezekiel 3:17-21).  If we will not cry out and sound a warning to the flock, their blood, and the blood of the little children that they will spill, will be on our hands in the Judgment.  I know that many of you have never heard or even imagined the information that I have just given.  I would simply ask you to be like the Bereans; see if these things are so; if they are, obey God.  There is a well researched, free, downloadable book by author and pastor Randy Alcorn, Do Birth Control Pills Cause Abortions? @ http://www.epm.org/bcp.html.

The Mercy Seat gathering in Atlanta, hosted by Bound4Life Atlanta and Bound4Life chapters across the state of Georgia, was a huge success and blessing! Over 100 people gathered to pray for the state of GA in front of the State Capitol for 7 hours!! You know that it is God when so many believers from many different backgrounds and denominations gather to pray and worship Jesus! The purpose of this day was to stand in silent prayer before the doors of our justice system and plead the blood of Jesus. Because of the blood of Jesus, we can go before the throne of God and cry out for Mercy! Thank you for your blood Lord! As I stood in front of the Georgia state capitol, I was amazed at the thought of thousands of others gathering to pray at the same time in every state. What did it look like as the Lord looked down on the earth? I pray that He was pleased with His children. We certainly felt the pleasure of God in Atlanta. We had an amazing time of prayer as we stood with LIFE tape, gathered in small groups, and also worshipped our Judge, our lover, and our friend Jesus.

My favorite part of the entire day was at the very end as we worshipped the Lord unhindered full of JOY dancing upon injustice. It was a beautiful sight as we danced all over the steps and the front of the capitol. It was truly an honor! We were also blessed to be joined by a key legislator who has been a voice in the GA General Assembly for LIFE. Thank you for all of you that joined us on this historic day!

The suggested topics of meditation and prayers for each hour in the Prayer Guide were profoundly beautiful and inspired, focusing on the Passion of Our Lord and 7 key moments in which He shed His blood for us.  I plan to use this Prayer Guide often now while praying outside the prenatal murder centers around Metro Atlanta, pleading His blood upon them.  One of the most striking meditations in this Prayer Guide for me was the following:

Can you see yourself resting your head on Jesus’ chest like John did? Can you
hear his heartbeat? Shhhh–listen closely. What do you think is on his heart?
Today an estimated 50 million dreams of Heaven have been legally aborted in
America since 1973. Every baby in the womb first originated in the heart and
mind of God. How does the Father feel when His dreams are aborted? One
third of this generation has never had the chance to fulfill God’s purposes in
the earth.

As I meditated on Our Lord in the Garden of Gethsemane, the thought struck me that the wombs of abortion-minded mothers are new Gardens of Gethsemane in which Jesus unites Himself with these children, these eternal thoughts of His Father.  In the Garden, Jesus foresaw and awaited the pending betrayal by His friend and the horrendous suffering to follow.  In the wombs of these women today, Jesus holds these little ones as He foresees and awaits the final blow of betrayal by their own mothers and the horrendous suffering to follow.  He asks us, “Will you not watch one hour with me?” Bound4Life provided such a powerful opportunity to answer this call of Our Lord.  I pray that I may be faithful in following His call to keep watch with Him in prayer and outreach at the centers of killing in our midst. 

The heat that day and hard concrete in front of the Capitol certainly made for a challenging 7 hours, but they also proved a blessing for me in helping me to enter more deeply into the Throne Room of prayer, past the barrier that the flesh can be.  As Jesus told the Apostles that night when He found them sleeping, “The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak”.  It’s easy to fall asleep and begin to lose that spiritual connection with the babies, moms & dads that you can only get by “staying here and watching with (Him)” at the places of killing.  An event like Mercy Seat, in which the leaders had enough faith in us to ask us to stand, sit or kneel in silence in such harsh conditions for so many hours on behalf of the preborn and their parents and all who in some way condone or ignore this great evil, was a highly effective spiritual tool for disciplining the flesh, submitting it more & more to the dominion of Christ, so that we can be strengthened in our will to endure the hardship of continuing to go out to pray and sidewalk counsel at the mills, courthouses & Capitol as often as possible and in our homes and/or churches daily. 

In these times that we live, I believe it is of utmost importance that we all stay close to each other in prayer, gathered around Our One Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in the Garden, watching and praying for one another intently.  May we have many more events like The Mercy Seat! 

As Cathy mentions in her article above, the dancing in the Spirit at the end of our 7 hours was absolutely beautiful and a joy to the spirit --- seeing so many young people dancing in front of the Capitol - dancing in the triumph already won by Jesus over death and injustice - was a powerful witness to drivers going by to the JOY true believers have in Christ, our Victor and LIFE! 

Lastly, it was a great encouragement to have one of our state legislators praying with us!  I hope that many more will follow suit at future prayer events.

Now South Dakota, via Vote Yes for Life, is trying again, this time with exceptions: life of the mother, rape and incest.

We need to identify things that are harmful to our cause. To allow for any exceptions, to say that it is ok to kill the baby in certain cases, is not in accordance with scripture. See Duet. 24:16- Children are not to be put to death for the sins of their fathers. Also, Deut 24:17-18, children without fathers are to be protected from injustice by the entire society (that means you and me).

We are calling what is evil good when we accept any legislation that allows for the murder of innocent life. There is a way that seems right to man, but is an abomination to God. Our conscience has become hardened to evil.

Furthermore, we have entangled ourselves in false arguments. To say that prenatal murder is acceptable for the life of the mother is a false argument. Medically it has never, NEVER, been considered an abortion if medical intervention is used that saves the mother and ends in the death of the baby. But to intentionally kill the baby while trying not to harm the mother is certainly a horse of a different color. That is always and absolutely murder in every instance.

Ultimately, we must recognize that life and liberty are inextricably bound. If the civil government grants the right to life, they also grant the right to liberty. This is why our liberties and freedoms have been so completely eroded in this country. Babies in the womb cannot be murdered because the right to life is granted by God. Any legislation that gives to the civil government the right to grant or withhold that right is intrinsically evil.

We must come to see that God is not a big bowl of warm fuzzies. The Bible teaches us that God is a consuming fire, and that He hates the hands of those who shed innocent blood. Our God is a God who kills people, who brings forth horrific judgement on those who defile His land and His people. The judgement that befell the Jews in 70 A.D. was horrific. Jesus warned his disciples to be watchful of the times when this great judgement would befall God’s people who rejected and crucified our Christ. Reading through the Old and New Testament is a demonstration that God is a jealous God, and will not abide an evil people who claim to be His and then defile themselves by serving false gods and committing horrific crimes.

We have murdered over 50 million innocent Americans in only 35 years. Our children will inherit a country devastated by debt to foreign countries, an immense tax burden (we are one of the most taxed people on the planet), and bioethics that have reduced humanity to less than animals. We are legislated to the point of insanity (the Georgia House passed a bill on Friday allotting the same penalty as smoking a joint to selling marijuana flavored candy--flavored candy.  We are not even allowed to drive in this state without our seat belt on). Our dollar is failing, and some countries are refusing payment for products in U.S. dollars. The Federal Reserve is a farce, debilitating our economy and stealing from the population through bogus banking practices and printing billions in “money” that is backed by nothing. And though Bush ran on a platform promising a non interventionist foreign policy, we are entrenched in a war that is bleeding our already financially wounded country dry.

We are in a time of judgement because God’s people continue to call what is evil good. “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, turn from their wicked ways and call on Me, then I will hear them.”

To accept any legislation that says it is all right to kill innocent life in some cases is evil. It is calling what is evil good. A half truth is not a truth.

Let us not shirk in our duty or faint in the way, but demand that which is ours to have: God given Life and Liberty. We have only to reach out our hand and take it! If God is before us, who can be against us? If only we could see the power that is within our grasp! Was it not Elisha who stood boldly against the army of the King of Aram? Elisha prayed for the eyes of his fearful servant to be opened and his servant beheld the hills full of horses and chariots of fire ready to protect Elisha (2 Kings 6). If only our eyes would be unveiled in order that we would stand firm and fast and resolute in this urgent time.

If ever a day came to stand without compromise and with unbending determination, brothers & sisters, that day is upon us. As Washington urged his men when failure loomed large and the light of hope was growing dim, “Today let us fight not for ourselves nor for our families, but for the millions of unborn Americans who will come after us.”

The Duty is Ours, The Outcome is God’s.

What’s not to like?

Unfortunately, Pharmaceutical companies do not have the benefit of a free market, in which the parents of damaged children can sue for financial compensation for injuries--this would cause some of these companies to go under completely, and we wouldn’t have to worry about them anymore. But the civil government stepped in to help them out with our tax dollars. The agency: The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. Did anyone catch what happened? Instead of making pharmaceutical companies pay damages, our benevolent government is forcing us, the consumer, to pay the damages by using our tax dollars! Thus far, over 800 million dollars have been paid out for injuries.

I state all of the above to demonstrate that you should be very cautious about stepping into the vaccination cycle with your most precious possession: your children. The deck is stacked against the consumer from the beginning.

Vaccines today have many hidden dangers. First and foremost, the chicken pox vaccine is created using aborted fetal tissue cell lines. Chicken pox along with polio and hepatitis are now only available this way. Many of the other childhood vaccines are also created using aborted fetal tissue cell lines, but you can at least request vaccines made from monkey kidney tissue or chicken embryo cells. Check the preservatives! And also check the health risks of the vaccines. The whooping cough vaccine (pertussis) is 100x more dangerous than contracting pertussis. Weigh the risk of the vaccine against the risk of the disease. And don’t let your pediatrician lump together vaccines. Each vaccine can be bought individually, so you are not forced to vaccinate for DPT if all you want is the P (pertussis).

SIDS is directly related to vaccines. Consider that more than 3,000 infants die yearly in the U.S. within 4 days of receiving a vaccination. In the 70’s, Japan raised the immunization age from 2 months to 2 years, and their SIDS rate dropped immediately and drastically.

Furthermore, the risk of autism amongst vaccinated children is now projected to be 1 in 66. In the 1950’s the autism rate was less than 1 in 100,000!

Whatever you decide to do with regard to managing your children’s healthcare, I hope that you will join me in calling on Georgia legislators to repeal all civil law regarding vaccinations. Pharmaceutical companies must operate within the built in safeguards of a free market. Vaccines are not the cure all panacea of our time. In fact, the evidence strongly suggests that vaccines, as they are currently manufactured, are debilitating our people. Vaccination is a liberty issue for the parents to control and decide. The civil government must step back.

The civil government has granted the populace the “right” to healthcare. We are now enslaved to the type of healthcare the civil government provides. Vaccinations are a perfect example of this. Initially vaccinations were highly recommended to keep babies and young children safe from debilitating disease. Today vaccines are mandated by the civil government in all 50 states.

Vaccines are developed with one thing in mind: profit. So testing is not extensive enough and side effects are largely ignored. Thus, civil goverment grants immunity to pharmaceutical companies from families who experience death, autism and other negative effects from vaccines. Consider that the Homeland Security Act had within it a couple lines granting full immunity to Eli Lily, a pharmaceutical company manufacturing mercury laced vaccines.

Between 1992 and 2002 the autism rate in all 50 states rose 1000%. (Go to National Autism Association for more disturbing facts). Today it is estimated that 1 in 66 children who are vaccinated will develop autism. Every year 3,000 babies in the U.S. who die of SIDS do so within 4 days of receiving vaccines. In the 70’s, Japan changed the immunization age from 2 months to 2 years, and the SIDS rate dropped dramatically. The pertussis vaccine (whooping cough) is 100x more dangerous than just getting whooping cough.

Did you know there is a federal agency who exists for the sole purpose of financially reimbursing parents for negative immunization effects? So far, they’ve handed out over 800 million dollars in your tax payer money.

The World Net Daily posted an article this morning pointing out that states are now collecting DNA samples from newborns, and using it without the parents’ knowledge or wishes..

When rights are given to us by the civil government, we quickly become powerless. Since healthcare is now a government granted right, we are at the mercy of what manner of healthcare the civil government deems necessary for us.

When you have children, you are made painfully aware of who owns your child. Children are a gift from the Lord to parents. The children belong to the parents, and live under the family government and under the headship of their father. The care given to the children is the sole responsibility and right of the parents.

In Georgia, children before birth, are the property of their mothers to be kept or disposed of as the mother sees fit. Once born, children belong to the civil government, and it is the duty of the parents to obey the civil government in the care of the children, or the civil government has granted itself the right to take away the children.

This ownership begins the moment of birth. By state law, your child receives a vitamin k shot and the PKU test. If you do not want these procedures, you must sign a paper for religious abstention and hope your nurses don’t call DFACS. Before you go home, your child receives his first vaccination. By state law, you must place your child in a carseat in order to take him home, and he must remain in a carseat each time he rides in a car until he is the age of 6. By state law, your child must attend school by a certain age. By state law, if you choose to educate your own child rather than having the state educate your child, you must submit attendance reports and do yearly testing so the state can make sure you are taking good care of its property. By state law, your child must have certain vaccinations before being allowed to enter the state school. By state law, should you purchase your child a bicycle, you must also insure that he wears a helmet. Should you choose to spank your child, there is also a state law in regard to that-how long the mark can last, and where the spanking is to be applied to the child. If one of your children die, the civil government has granted itself the authority to remove all your other children from your home until an investigation is completed in order to prove your innocence in the death of your child.

There is nothing necessarily wrong with helmets, car seats, discipline, vaccines, or vitamin K shots. But it is not the right of the government to dictate to us how we care for our children. God did not grant civil government that kind of authority. I’m amused when people ask, “What if a parent is irresponsible?” If a parent is irresponsible, it is for the church and community to fill in the gap. Do we really believe that the civil government, a perfect example of red tape, wasted money, abuse of power, bureaucratic nonsense, and dreadful neglect is capable of stepping in and adequately raising children? When the family government breaks down it is then for the church to care for and educate orphans.

Civil government does not hold power that it grants to itself. In fact, our Constitution was written as a restraint to civil government. Our Founding Fathers understood that civil government always seeks to take away. Our Constitution assumes the rights of the people, and restrains the civil government so as to protect those God given rights. The duty of civil government is to protect the life and liberty of the populace. Its powers are very clear, finite and limited. That is all.

Our liberty, our life, our property, our children are granted to us by our Creator. We must restrain the civil government, make our will known to those we elect, and take back the power that has been wrongly usurped by those we put over us.

The civil government is not the moral police of the people. It is not the duty of civil government to be sympathetic or compassionate. Law must bring justice. Justice is the protection of our life and liberty and the punishment of those who infringe upon the life and liberty of ourselves. Once the law as written by the civil government shows compassion to one subject, it automatically creates antipathy for the other subject, and thus ruins any possibility for justice.

Concerning dog fighting: The man who owns the property of the dog is criminalized for having used his property in a way the civil government does not deem fit and proper. The owner is then convicted of wrongful use of private property, and sent to prison for, say, 5 years. Now he cannot provide for his family, he has a felony on his record, and he is robbed of 5 years of his life. The civil law has sided with compassion for the dog and antipathy for the plight of the man.

What happens when the civil government decides proper use for other private property in your possession or usurps other responsibilities? You are on the slippery slope.

Let’s look at the education of children. First, county civil governments offered public education where families had an active role in establishing the school, and hiring the teacher. Participation by the community was completely voluntary. The family was responsible for the education of their children, and could participate in and make use of opportunities the local civil government made available.

Then districts and states began taking over the process of establishing the schools and teachers. As time marched forward, parents had a decreasing amount of authority and input into the educational process of their children. Today, the civil government is responsible for the education of all children. Some local civil governments may choose to allow parents the privilege of overseeing the education of their children, as long as the government remains well informed and assured that the parent is capable of having this privilege. If I fail to meet the requirements of the civil government in Georgia concerning the education of my children, DFACS will be brought in and my children will be removed from my custody.

When I first began reporting school days to the county, I forgot two months in a row. I received a phone call from the education department that the reports were to be provided to the government immediately, or a social worker would be sent to my home. This is a gross infringement on my personal liberty. The civil government has taken to itself authority only granted to the family government. What began as a good thing for public education has turned into an appalling crisis. Civil government is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.

Let us return to the original point. For our law makers to take time concerning themselves with the well being of our private property--in this case dogs--and establish punishments for the wrongful use (as they see it) of our private property, is a usurpation of our liberty. Furthermore, dog fighting is not a common problem in Georgia. However, if it were, it would be for the community and church to frown upon and urge the abolishment of the practice. But let’s look at the abortion issue.

Abortion in Atlanta is an epidemic. We are slaughtering 40,000 children every year. Abortionists can commit abortion on children up to almost 7 months gestation. For our law makers to even consider advancing the welfare of animals before dealing with the blood letting that is filling our city is a gross misuse of power and authority. The law is to be just and protect the life and liberty of each and every individual in our society. For the law makers to look the other way while the life and liberty of 500 children every week is abolished, is unacceptable.

Perhaps some would say the law must show sympathy to the mother in crisis. This automatically creates antipathy for the child. The community and church must show sympathy to the mother in crisis, and help her to achieve motherhood and provide for her needs and the needs of the child. The law, and thus the civil government, is to show justice to both mother and child, abolish the tyranny of pre-born murder, and encourage the co-operative efforts of the private sector in promoting adoption, and other services freely available.

I am attempting to pack a lot into a few words here. But I hope that you will see that life and liberty are eroded simultaneously. It is not possible to separate the two. Only the people can take back the life and liberty ripped from them by a tyrannical civil government. It is not the nature of civil government to be moderate and to be limited. It will always look to take more.

Please call your Senator today, and ask him to stand against HB 301, The Dog Fighting Bill. Also, ask that the Senate urge the House to immediately pass HB1 which criminalizes abortion. We must act now. How can dog fighting be a felony when pre-born murder is not a felony?
