Greetings Friends,
This is Lori Hoye and I will be monitoring and managing the email for the Issues4Life Foundation in my husband Walter’s absence. Know that we feel the prayers of the Saints and they are holding up both Walter and myself.
I have visited Walter twice (Saturday and Sunday) and he is in good spirits and physically safe and sound. The Lord has placed him in what is known as the “Bible Corner” and at the time of my first visit on Saturday [Walter arrived at around 4:30am] Walter had already been in Bible Study with some of the men in his unit. On Sunday just prior to my visit Walter had led one man to Christ. God is truly blessing Walter’s presence in Santa Rita and many men are seeking his counsel about their lives and situations.
Walter requested prayer for Wisdom while he is in Santa Rita and Clarity from the Lord to continue to do His Will upon his release.

Issues4Life Foundation Updates

Dear Movement,
I want to take the time to thank you for your prayers and loving support for our dear brother – Walter Hoye and your commitment to the Pro-Life Movement. The purpose of this brief is to provide updated announcements regarding NEXT STEPS.
On Monday, March 23rd, 2009 an email blast will go out entitled – ISSUES4LIFE FOUNDATION UPDATE. These email updates will provide answers to the previous day’s email, voicemail, and text questions. Since Friday’s proceedings, emails have been received by many supporters requesting the same information. We have decided to provide a Q&A Section within the update to ensure everyone is receiving the same information. We will send an email blast everyday at 12 noon. We humbly request all who receive the updates to forward them onto their respective list serves.
On Thursday, March 26th, 2009 at Chosen Vessels Christian Church in Alameda (710 Haight Avenue – 510.523.6707) we will host two Action Strategy Sessions. Due to supporters who are not available in the evening we have established our first Action Strategy Session to take place from 11am – 1pm. For supporters who are not available during the day we have scheduled an additional session from 6pm – 8pm on the same day.
The Action Strategy Sessions will address logistics regarding a demonstration at the Clinic (200 Webster, Oakland) and a demonstration at the Oakland City Council Meeting (14th at Broadway, Oakland). We need as many supporting volunteers as possible. Our expectation is to raise awareness to the plight of the #1 issue causing death within the Black Community and communities across the world.
On Friday, March 27th, 2009 (and each Friday of Walter’s incarceration) we are requesting every supporter of the movement to Fast & Pray from 1pm – 5pm (These times represent the beginning of the Press Conference to the ending of the Post-Press Conference on the day of Sentencing). We will provide a list of issues to stand in prayer about in a future ISSUES4LIFE FOUNDATION UPDATE.
T-SHIRTS! Ark Apparel is producing T-Shirts in support of Walter Hoye. The shirt will be a Black T-Shirt with White writing. The front of the T-Shirt will say – “FREE WALTER HOYE.” The back of the T-Shirt will have a silhouette photo of Walter in his famous hat – “GOT JESUS?” along with the statement – “GOD LOVES YOU AND YOUR BABY, LET US HELP.” T-Shirts will be in various sizes and will cost $10. Half of the proceeds will be donated to the Life Legal Defense Fund.
Please continue in prayer for Lori Hoye (Wife of Walter) as she stands strong and committed. Let us check in on her and let her continuously know that we love her too.
