A new week: A new time to count our blessings from the past week and to estimate the ones to come our way in the next seven days. “Estimate our blessings?†you say. “I thought it was only income for taxes that we estimate, or how many people might purchase a certain item on the grocery shelf when ordering products.†True. These are forms of estimation in our daily lives.
But I believe God’s blessings are awesomely even easier to estimate. The estimate is in the millions, billions and more—to the infinite. It’s easy to estimate ALL never-ending love; bushels and barrels of help and caring totally encasing us; or guidance forever. It’s easy because we know God has all of this in place for us – it’s everything—and it is so worthy and abounding that we must rejoice in it – and count on it, even though we don’t understand it at all! But He is the one that quantifies it; we don’t have to worry about all of that.
And it is without measure.
Lord, today we praise you for your unlimited resources you give to us. We praise you forever as we bask in your blessings, that we can totally estimate because we know they are of You.
