§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Ephesians 4:15   Thought/Prayer:  Growth from the Center.  Topics:  2 at end.

“. . . but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ . . . “(NASB®) http://www.lockman.orghttp://www.bible.com  (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com

Here we are told that we are to be growing entities, we are to grow up into our Lord Jesus.  I’ve been noticing that some house plants that are growing in my window, a Sago Palm Tree and a Bird’s Nest Fern.  So what do these two plants have in common, and how can they be in common also with a scripture speaking of growing into Christ?

Both plants grow from the center in obvious ways.  The Sago palm right now is putting up little fronds in its center – three of them upright and perky although of a slightly grayer green than the already established fronds, and they sport tiny layered areas that will evolve into the individual leaves of the fronds as they uncurl.
The bird’s nest fern is so named because of the way it grows big:  it puts up centered fronds that start out as little round nubs almost in the shape of bird’s eggs.  These unfurl and develop into a flat type frond, about 2-3” wide.

We too must grow from the center.  Just as we are centered in Christ, He also is our center.  Our growth in Him comes as we internalize His Word, His will for us, and His answers to our prayers.  And as we inwardly grow, we grow larger in our service and love and capabilities with Him.  We just get bigger and bigger as we love more and love even more and receive His love, more and more.  Praises to Him!

No one may see our growth in the fashion of the fronds of these two plants in the sun in my house.  But our growth in the Son will be evident as we live in Him and never stop growing while we’re on Earth.  Lord, our prayer today is that our fronds of growth will always be filled with You, Lord, and that others will see in us a growing love in the sun for you.
