§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Ephesians 6:11-17   Thought/Prayer:  Even Armored, Prayer Necessary.  Topics:  2 at end.

“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Supplication is asking, sweetly asking.  This is mentioned right after all of the descriptions of armor Christians are to wear:  breastplate, shield, helmet, sword.  But even with all of this gear we wear, we are still to supplicate our Father.  We can be all decked out in great armor, but then we need to stop and take note of whether we have asked the Lord to be with us in the battle.  If we just start walking around in this armor without direction from above, we will soon tire of the weight of it because we won’t know how to use it.  This just can’t be allowed to happen.

So whether we read our Bible daily, whether we shield ourselves from unwanted advances from the world, or whether we knowingly live in His righteousness as a breastplate, without prayer to activate our maneuvers – we still need to look up for guidance from above which, of course, comes from within us through the Spirit.

Topics:  Please, Lord, convict us to always pray.
