§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Ephesians 6:13 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  Stand/ Withstand.  Topics:  2 at end.

“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”  KJV http://www.bible.com  (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

“Withstand.”  “Stand.”  The basic word here, twice, is “stand.”  To withstand may mean that we go against something in taking our stand.  To stand indicates perhaps that we are to be unmovable, not forced over, not giving in to a seated position or a knocked-down view looking up from the floor.

What can make us so strong that we are able to withstand hostile forces, the hurricanes of change, the onslaughts of evil?  How can we remain standing strong and upright against grievous adversaries or subtle indoctrinators?

Simply put:  Put on your armor.  Get up in the morning and don it.  Don’t, not don it.  If we don’t wear the armor of God, we go around our day’s tasks totally vulnerable.  And vulnerability does not lead either to standing or to withstanding.  We know that God’s armor includes shield, breastplate, helmet, sword and more.  Each piece is imbued with spiritual meaning (Ephesians 6, KJV).  We walk around fortified, and we walk around to stand, to stand firm.  We can repel the arrows and bullets of ungodliness.

Lord, help us to read your word and pray in order to be completely armored in this battle you allow us to fight, especially in the LIFE area.  We beseech you to help us be well-armored every minute that we take on enemies against LIFE.

Topics:  Pray for desire to wear all the armor of God and for the energy and strength to keep it always on.
