Rainbows in the Pool
Lord, water and sun make rainbows.
Thank you for those in pools, outdoors . . . or on pools indoors with huge windows to the sun.
Thank you for their dancing in water, and their hues ever moving when the water moves.
You are both the living water, Lord, (Jeremiah 2:13) and the Sun of righteousness (Malachi 4:2). How can we then not see You in a rainbow?
You are both water and sun. Earth and its peoples cannot do without either.
That You combine these in Yourself, Lord, can take our breath away. . . just as with a bright rainbow in sudden appearance.
Help us to love rainbows and You, Lord, like little children – in wonder and awe.
Help us, and their parents, and them, to think of you with rainbows in the pool.
