We serve an unseen God, but not unknown. We are allowed to know Him intimately because we are in Him, and He is in us. This closest of relationships comes through the Holy Spirit, gifted to us by God and Who is God the Holy Spirit. To have the spirit of another is humanly impossible. But God’s Spirit can dwell within us beautifully, filling us in every and any nook and cranny of our being, indwelling our persons.
Every baby born is an image of God, just as is every baby conceived. As they grow and mature, their bodies also are made for the indwelling Spirit. At the right time (if they are allowed to be born and not killed in the womb) they will realize the treasure that is in Jesus Christ, and they will have opportunity to make Him their Saviour. It is a beautiful thing to anticipate.
Please, Lord, we feel so badly for babies not allowed to be born. Please help us be faithful to pray for each person still in the womb of their mother; and help mothers to see their ways clear to carry the baby and bring the chance of knowing Jesus into their lives.
