§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

I Peter 2:1-3 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  Drink Deeply, Unto Gracious Loving.  Topics:  2 at end.

The Lord is Good
“Why laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, all evil speakings, As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that you may grow thereby: If so be you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.” (AKJV)  Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com.

IIt’s pretty straight-out simple:  Drink the milk of the Word of God; we will know that He is gracious.  Yes.  That is the way it is!

Those of us who drink deeply of the Word are always blessed by the graciousness of our Lord God.  His grace comes through in His love.  His gracious loving of us is so apparent all the way through the Old Testament and the New Testament.

Speaking of love in the Old Testament, we are told in Song of Solomon 8:7, “Many waters can’t quench love, neither can floods drown it. If a man would give all the wealth of his house for love, he would be utterly scorned” (WEB).  The New Testament is replete with expressions concerning love.  Chief among these may be, “God is love,” in I John 4:16 (AKJV):  “And we have known and believed the love that God has to us. God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him.”

A baby nursing milk knows love . . . the great love of his or her mommy.  Certainly a baby does not know that Mother is being gracious in providing a pure source of nourishment for her little ones; but it is the way it is.  Directly from God, of course.

The feeding from the Word is, of course, directly from Him also.  So those of us standing for created LIFE must realize this and live it out.  We live it out in our prayers for the preborn and their families, whether in dire straits or just in normal pregnancies and births.  Lord, help us to live this out by feasting upon Your Word, and then we will know even more the graciousness that is God; and we will then be able to more effectively encourage all mothers (and fathers)-to-be in their walks of pregnancy, birth and after.

Topics:  Pray to enjoy the milk of the Word and God’s love that is within it.
