§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

I Samuel 17:4-7 Thought/Prayer:  Always Armored to Fit.  Topics:  2 at end.

“And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span. And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass. And he had greaves of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his shoulders.  And the staff of his spear was like a weaver’s beam; and his spear’s head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him.”  KJV http://www.bible.com  (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

Goliath’s armor may have weighed 125 pounds or more.  He was a huge man with huge armor.  When David was preparing to fight him, Saul the king gave David his armor to try on.  David declined that armor because he had not tested it, and Saul was a big man also, (I Samuel 9:2) so perhaps his armor was too heavy for David.

Even though Saul’s armor was protective, David couldn’t use it.  And, God had another plan, of course – one so simple, but with stunning results:  David killed the giant Goliath with a single smooth stone to the forehead.  God provides all of us with the correct and well-fitting armor we need.  The shield of faith, the sword of the Spirit, and more.  We can walk freely in this armor – never feeling that it is too heavy or too much.  Our armor is at hand without going through a lengthy process of putting it on.  It’s already on!

As we serve the vulnerable for LIFE, we must always remember our armor; and perhaps the best part is that it is not seen by the enemy.  It is invisible to the naked eye – but the eye of God never loses sight of it.

Lord, help us to remember the Satan-proof armor with which you have covered us.  Help us to not fear because we know this invisible coat of mail is always around us and ready to repel all attacks.

Topics:  Pray to be aware of the way we are clothed in the armor of God.
