I Timothy 1:1, 2 Thought/Prayer: For any Election: Pray. Topics: 2 at end.
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour.”
Our nation used to hear election-day sermons, for over 200 years I’m told. We have gotten way away from that, we know. But here is the sermon for any election day. Pray!
Lord, help us to always pray and seek your will for any election, that godly men and women might take office. Lord help us to elect persons with respect for You and for all the LIFE you made when you created planet Earth and us. Remind us to be faithful in this.
