§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Jeremiah 23:24 (Pt. 3)  Thought/Prayer:  Good Hiding in Secret.  Topics:  2 at end.

Jeremiah 23:24 (Pt. 3)  “Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? said the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? said the LORD.”  AKJ (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)
No, we may not want God to see our secret places, those in which we try to hide ourselves away from his eyes like eagles’.  Even if we are just hiding within our souls, and not in some tight little physical space where we barely fit because we are so bowed with shame, we want His vision to blur a bit.  But of course His vision is not only 20/20, but beyond . . . Perfect/Perfect.

How is it that we can seem to hide ourselves inwardly?  Of course we know that our Father in Heaven can see every mote-sized flake of something floating in the sunlit air.  But for some reason, when we are bowed down inwardly, in our hearts and beings, we hope maybe His vision will not probe so deeply.  But, of course, it does.  Maybe his admonishment through it even hurts a bit extra.

Really, we should want secret places such as is described in Matthew 6:1-4.  “Take heed that you do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise you have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.  Therefore when you do your alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Truly I say to you, They have their reward. But when you do alms, let not your left hand know what your right hand does: That your alms may be in secret: and your Father which sees in secret himself shall reward you openly.” (AKJ)

This kind of secret place in our lives is desired by our God.  This is not a place of hiding ourselves . . . but a place of hiding the glory of our works so as only to be known by our Father.  This type of hiding place is honest and even open, in a sense.  We hide from the praise others but we know that we have pleased our Heavenly Father.  How satisfactory is that!

As we go about the ministries into which we are called, such as in standing for LIFE as created by this God Who sees all, help us to remember that He always sees us . . . both to bring conviction of our unworthiness before him . . . and to bring us the peace that comes from serving Him openly but giving any praise to Him.  “Secret” gives us both, in Him.

Lord, thank You that we never need be without You, and help us to make our secret times of the type that bring honor to You, not glory unto ourselves.  Help us to carry this out at we serve You and those in the middle of LIFE’s crises.

Topics:  Pray for humility and also for the ability to live our lives in secret before the Lord, through our ministries, and not in the secret places of our shame before Him.
