§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Joshua 1:8 (Pt. 4)  Thought/Prayer:  A Book in the Mouth.  Topics:  2 at end.

“This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.”  WEB (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

Joshua is told to always keep the book of the law in his mouth.  What?  He’s supposed to go around someway with a book sitting on his tongue?  Of course not.  But it makes for an interesting imagining!

No, this great warrior and leader of God is to keep the law in his mouth through his mind and heart!  Maybe that sounds even stranger!  But is it not true?  In order for the Word of God to be “on our tongues” – often said for having something there to speak with the tongue – it must first be in our heads – and then for what we have to say to have the truly most beneficial meaning, it must be processed through our hearts, thus bringing the most effective spoken application.

We are told that “As a man thinketh, so is he” (Prov. 23:7).  Perhaps this could also be stretched out a bit to include as he thinks, so is he in the words he speaks.  Our minds receive information to process, perhaps rather matter-of-factly; our hearts process the same information but with the touch of grace God gives us in our hearts.

Often, after heart-processing, things seem different, perhaps softer and less harsh – more malleable to apply to our lives.  But after all of this is “said” (pun here) and done, we still are to keep the words of God ready for usage in any purpose of His.  We are never to let His words leave us – we must not allow them to depart from us.

Lord, we know how all of this is supposed to work:  Your words into our minds; then into and through our hearts; then spoken to others when needed . . . or just kept for our own guidance or edification from You.  But so often we seem to bypass something along the way, and it seems that Your words are far from our tongues – rather as though they are not in our mouths at all.  Forgive us this, Lord, and help us to keep steeped in Your words in our minds in order that we can pass them on to others in dire straits with decisions regarding LIFE in their families’ lives.

Topics:  Pray to be able to always keep the Word of God close in our mouths, on our tongues, for usage for others at God’s guiding.
Churches of our nation to understand the value of created life, birth to the end.
