§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Lamentations 3:22-24 (Pt. 4) Thought/Prayer;  “My Portion.” Topics:  2 at end.

“It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is your faithfulness.
The LORD is my portion, said my soul; therefore will I hope in him.”  (AKJV)  (Read these scriptures and more at http://prayerpivot.com.)

Psalm 73:26:  My flesh and my heart fails: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.  (AKJV)

We who believe can claim God as our “portion.”  So what could that be?  Well, my portion is my share, my part of something.  It’s my piece of the pie, my slice of cake.  It’s the part of anything that I can claim as mine.  And I can claim God as such?  Really?

This is huge, as we say; in fact, nothing could be huger.  God is the “HUGE” of the universe, the cosmos, the . . . . everything . . . even before time . . . even before there was anything but Him.  He has no “before.”  He just always is.  “I am that I am.”  Exodus 3:14 - “And God said to Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shall you say to the children of Israel, I AM has sent me to you.”  (AKJV)  No one can define Him.  He needs no explanation, needs no reason to be:  He just IS.

And yet He can be a portion for us who believe.  This is so big we cannot really get our minds around it or take it in.  But it is true, and as we do take God as our portion, He is then the biggest part of our lives, if we let Him.  The greatness and magnitude of God is ours, through faith.  And we must pray for struggling persons to realize this, whether they believe yet, or not.  Even a person who does not yet believe can perhaps get a glimpse of God that will then draw them to Him to make Him their own portion.  May we be faithful to show Him to those who have so many LIFE decisions to make.  May we be faithful to figuratively serve up God-our-portion to others who may then desire Him as theirs.

Lord, help us try to understand this enormous gift and to help others also understand.  Thank You for this amazing God who shares Himself as portions for us.

Topics:  Pray to be able to explain God in terms that others can understand, even though He is too large to totally humanly understand.  Help Him to become the portion for those who need to understand His character, when making LIFE choices.
Community leaders around the globe to be open to created LIFE as important and worthy of saving.
