§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Luke 2:4,5 (Pt. 3)  Thought/Prayer:  Small Towns:  Important.  Topics:  2 at end.

“And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.” KJV http://www.bible.com  (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

Even another little town in Israel, Nazareth (in Galilee), is mentioned in this description of Joseph and Mary going to be taxed in Bethlehem.  Nazareth is also part of prophecy about the coming of our Lord Jesus.  Matthew 2:23—“And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene” (KJV).

At that time, these were two small towns.  Could it be that small towns were chosen in order to show that the size of our birthplace does not matter?  Could it be that those of us in metropolitan areas may not be allowed to get “big heads” about our places of residence?  Seems pretty impossible that big-city folks (like me, in a medium-sized city) should become braggadocios when the most important person ever to live was born in a small town.  His birth-address would have been unimpressive until it is realized Who it is who came from there.  Now, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Galilee are extremely important to believers.

Each preborn baby is supposed to have a place of birth – large or small, important or unimportant according to worldly standards.  Lord, today we pray for these birthplaces to be named, according to all of these babies brought into the world there; Lord, please, we ask that each town or city make claim to be the birthplace of all the unborn existing right now or being conceived at this very moment, this very important moment.

Topics:  Pray for conviction toward life for all involved in unplanned pregnancies.
Domestic missionaries, that they will understand and carry out God’s will in life-issues
