§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Mark 3:20-25 (Pt. 4) Thought/Prayer: Jesus’ Family Didn’t Always Understand.  Topics:  2 at end.

“One time Jesus entered a house, and the crowds began to gather again. Soon he and his disciples couldn’t even find time to eat. When his family heard what was happening, they tried to take him away. ‘He’s out of his mind,’ they said.

“But the teachers of religious law who had arrived from Jerusalem said, ‘He’s possessed by Satan, the prince of demons. That’s where he gets the power to cast out demons.’
“Jesus called them over and responded with an illustration. ‘How can Satan cast out Satan?’ he asked. ‘A kingdom divided by civil war will collapse. Similarly, a family splintered by feuding will fall apart.”

Jesus’ family tried to protect Him from the hordes of people following him and requesting something from him.  They were concerned he would grow too tired, perhaps, feel harried, perhaps be frustrated with all he had to do.

Sometimes people we love are just not going to understand what we do, what we stand for.  They mean well, and we appreciate their concern for our well-being.

But sometimes what we do will not always be understood, although we pray for those who have difficulty always going along with our views or actions.  Our first priority is, of course, to carry out the plans we’ve been called to through our God.  Pray today that we will be able to do so even though not everyone will understand.  Pray that His thoughts and works for us will be fruitful, and ask God to convict others to see His plans at work in our lives.

Topics:  Pray today for unity among pro-life folks so it will perhaps be easier for those who love us to understand why we do what we do.
Pray for those who lobby for LIFE at the United Nations headquarters in New York City.
