§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Mark 5:41-43 (Pt. 4) How Beautiful was His Warm Hand

Thought/Prayer:  Topics:  2 at end

Jesus, regarding the ruler’s daughter who had died:  “Taking her by the hand, he said to her ‘Talitha cumi’; which means, ‘Little girl, I say to you, arise.’  And immediately the girl got up and walked (she was twelve years of age), and they were immediately overcome with amazement.  And he strictly charged them that no one should know this, and told them to give her something to eat.”

If I had been this 12-year-old girl, there could have been no other person’s touch, than Jesus’, so wonderful to help me stand up after being dead.  I can’t imagine how beautiful his warm hand must have felt to her, as he helped her “arise.”  Not only did she come back from icy darkness, but there must have been light in the room from sun or candle – in no comparison, however, to the light in Jesus’ face as he loved her.

So must we be, in ministering to families in crisis, whether it be to figuratively hold someone’s hand through words of encouragement outside of an abortion clinic, or to soothe a baby allowed to be birthed at an early gestational age through the family’s choice of LIFE.  Any way that we touch others in the name of Jesus will bring warmth and light.  Pray that we may do this only in His love.
