§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Micah 7:7-9 (Pt. 4)  Thought/Prayer:  Chill.  Topics:  2 at end.

“But I will look to the LORD;
I will wait for the God of my salvation.
My God will hear me.
Zion’s Vindication
Do not rejoice over me, my enemy!
Though I have fallen, I will stand up;
though I sit in darkness,
the LORD will be my light.
Because I have sinned against Him,
I must endure the LORD’s rage
until He argues my case
and establishes justice for me.
He will bring me into the light;
I will see His salvation.”  HCSB Scripture quotations marked HCSB are taken from the Holman Christian Standard Bible®, Copyright © 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2009 by Holman Bible Publishers. Micah tells his enemy to cool it, to chill, as we used to say.  “ Don’t rejoice over me”!  He then contrasts falling with being made to stand; darkness with light.  And although God is very angry with him, God still argues for him and gets justice accomplished.  We know that God’s justice can come through a reckoning of our situation many times.  We don’t know how God’s justice will be brought to us, and it can be painful.  But in this writing, Micah has every satisfaction that in the end God will bring him out of his situation and into light.

This should mean so much to us as believers.  How can we even hope to be thought of by a holy and just God when we are enthralled in inattention and sin?  We can’t.  But He looks upon us and loves up and brings us back, standing and in the light.  It’s unfathomable to us as to how He can do this.  But we know He does.  And then we can say to our enemy, “Don’t rejoice”!  “Don’t rejoice; you don’t get it.”

This is a strong statement by this prophet.  But it is ours for the saying.  But we must be willing to confess, to agree with God that we are so far into a pit, falling and fallen.  We want to be able to say to whatever our challenges, that God is with us and will bring us up and out.

Lord, help us.  Help bring us up. Help bring us out and into Your light.  Help us to be careful to confess our sin to you so that You can work in us for strength for the task, unfettered by sin.

Topics:  Pray for awareness of the need to let God work in us to keep us standing and in His light for service as we serve those in LIFE struggles.
