§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Philippians 2:9, 10   Thought/Prayer:  Words, Names.  Topics:  2 at end.

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;. . . ” KJV (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

Have you ever misspelled or mistyped a word, and the word you “created” is sort of fun?  This happened to me the other day.  Instead of “footprint,” I typed “footpring.”  Now this may be a word somewhere, or in some language, but I’d never seen it, and I thought it interesting.  What could it mean, footpring?  Maybe a footprint pushed into a soft spring trail?  Maybe a foot covered in the water of a cool spring?  Maybe a footprint made with someone with a “spring” in their step.

Well, whatever this silly combination of letters could mean, it was fun to think of.  In fact, aren’t we glad that some words or parts of words probably never easily considered with their letter arrangements have actually come into being?  How about “bling” or the “sprink” in sprinkle?

The Bible, of course, is a serious book and would never use silly words just for the fun of it.  But some of the names of people in it are quite interesting in their sounds.  How about the people called Zamzummims (in Deuteronomy 2) or Tiglath-Pileser, an Assyrian king?  Or Methuselah who lived to be 969?

We can have some fun as pro-life folks, such as here, with words.  Indeed, what could be more fun than holding a little child saved from abortion, beautiful to behold?  And the names of those who escaped abortion are imbued with extra meaning perhaps, whatever the names chosen by wise parents.  I knew one pro-life worker who always referred to a little rescued babe as “Lady . . . “ such and such.

Lord, we thank you for giving us the ability to create words, names, however they are.  And we thank you for the names of all the rescued children saved from abortion.  You know all of the owners of these names.  You help them be saved from death in the womb.  Thank you, Lord, for this and also for Your Name Above All Names, Jesus Christ.

Topics:  Pray for parents who do not abort their babies and for the names they will give them, with special meaning.
Our Nation’s Schools, writers of curriculum, to choose LIFE to be taught.
