It is so excellent to know Christ Jesus. Nothing can compare to Him, His personality, His love, His involvement in the lives of those who do know Him as Savior and Lord. He is the most excellent of the most excellent not only on Earth but of all creation. He has as his footstool, Earth (Is. 66:1).
With his excellence so great, might we say that we live a life of privilege when we know Him? Yes. We do. We are privileged to know we have eternal life in Him. We are privileged to be able to talk to Him at any moment, through our prayers. We are privileged to know that His knowledge can be imparted to us either directly, or through the Bible, as much as we can understand. We only gain these privileges through our trust in Him.
As we go about our ministries, whatever they are, whether pro-life or evangelism or prayer, etc., we may consider this life or privilege we lead. Oh, it’s true that a life of privilege may indicate a person’s social status or monetary accomplishments, for the world in general. But the life of privilege we lead in the Lord is so different from the world’s; it is privilege on the highest plain.
When we realize how privileged we are, then we can apply the results of our privileges to others, to our ministries. Lord, help us to realize all of the great aspects of our relationship with You. Help us to always remember the access we have to You and your excellency. Prod us to remember all we have in You.
