Proverbs 1:7 (Pt. 3) Thought/Prayer: No Fools Lacking Wisdom. Topics: 2 at end.

I always thought my maternal grandmother was wise. She is the one who would come to our house when I was ill, to get me as well as possible and to keep me company. So I had a lot of hours just with her. (An aside here : She had been a hard-working farm wife for many years, and she could bake the best apple pie.)
It wasn’t so much that she would outright teach me, but her lifestyle was such that I saw how she lived for God even though she did not have a great deal of worldly wealth. But she would instruct me with little practical comments along the way, such as don’t “piece” on candy much between meals, and don’t say “huh?”.
She read her Bible in my presence. I know that it was her True Source of wisdom. And she lived out the Christian life through service in her church and outwardly to others.
We’re told not to despise not only instruction, but wisdom. How is it that we would reject wisdom, that we would not think it important? Our human nature, of course, is the culprit here. But when we stand for life, we must ask the Lord to help us have victory over our human nature when it becomes stubborn and short-sighted. We need His wisdom; and then, through our fear of, our respect for, the Lord, we will act wisely.
Lord, help us to ask wisely and to be safe and secure in the plans you have for us regarding LIFE. Impress upon us that we must keep in touch with you and seek wisdom, and not be fools for life.
