Proverbs 1:7 Thought/Prayer: Wisdom: Seek It. Topics: 2 at end.
Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
Sometimes, even though we try to be careful, we end up making unwise decisions. Too often these are made on our own with no thought of the will of God. Striking out on our own may be a good policy for personal growth or proving that we can overcome a challenge. But as Christians, we can get into much hot water if we do not consult our Lord who has the wisdom of the ages.
In pro-life work, sometimes we feel that we cannot figure out which way to turn or which paths we should walk. We may become so frustrated that we just want to do “something.” But if we do not seek the wisdom of God, we may just end up with nothing, not something – or even worse, we get something that we would never ever want. We must stay in touch with our Source of Wisdom, God Almighty.
Lord, as we go about our walks for pro-life issues, please help us to always think to consult you about our pathways, our walk in this world. Help us be faithful to read your Word and pray, pray, pray. Then we will walk as soundly and faithfully as you would have us.
