§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Ps. 22:9,10   Thought/Prayer:  It’s Purple.  Topics:  2 at end.

“But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts. I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly.”  KJV http://www.bible.com (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

It’s Purple.  My mouse is purple.  It has little white paisley shapes scattered about, and darker purple ones too.  Of course, I’m describing the mouse I use at my computer.  It’s very pretty, really.

But are real mouses (mice) very pretty?  They’re sort of drab – perhaps to better hide themselves as they scurry along someone’s wall or in the rafters of a barn.  Glitzy, showy animals have a harder time remaining rather unseen.

Take, for instance, peacocks or male cardinals.  Or consider the black/ white/orange coloration and design of a clown fish (Nemo).  Or the spectacular array of colors in the feathers of a macaw in South America.

There are probably many reasons for the bright coloration in animals.  Males usually are brighter; perhaps they can attract a wife more readily if they are pigment-startling.  Or maybe they make a statement that they are not to be trifled with, considering their enemies.  But for whatever reason, often it is the boys who have more color than the girls.

God, of course, invented color.  There is the light spectrum and the visible color spectrum.  Both are breathtaking in beauty.  Isn’t it interesting, that in order to see the color in the light around us, we need to refract it through glass, such as through a prism?  How can such beauty be all about us without us always seeing it?  God knows; he has plans for all the types of color.  But it’s a really neat idea, isn’t it, light’s invisible spectrum?  Our God must delight in surprises of invisibility.

No two people on Earth have the same coloration.  But God has planned each of our physical attributes to the nth degree, as we say.  What is the nth?  Well, certainly when God is creating us, He must stretch out every minute little piece of us to the nth; in other words, He plans us to the most micro-cosmic degree “never” thought of.

Babies in wombs at this very second are being created in this way.  Each so-invisible characteristic that will bloom, in time, is worked into the structure of the tiny person, soon to become human-sized.  Well, actually, the tiny person is human-sized, at all stages of development, but just has a lot of growing to do within Mother.

Lord, we praise you for the variety you planned in the natural world.  And we thank you that it was natural for you to plan color into our physical selves, whether it be hair color, eyes, skin tones, and more.  We thank you for every preborn baby; you are busy creating the colors they will claim as theirs, and we look forward to their births to see what they are!

Topics:  Pray for the developing babies in all wombs right now, and thank God for all that He plans into their physical beings.
