§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Psalm 1:1-3   Thought/Prayer:  Desiring God’s Seasons.  Topics:  2 at end.

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”  KJV (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

God wants to bear fruit through us.  In this Psalm, we Christians are compared to a tree that brings forth its fruit in its season.  We know that plants go through seasonal changes, by God’s design.  In the Bible, plants are referred to on occasion as being in or out of season.  So what are out seasons as Christians?

As is said so many times, it will vary among all of us.  Some Christians seem to not have “seasons”; they seem to go through life on the positive and always seem to serve cheerfully.  But even these brothers and sisters in the Lord may have seasons of lesser productivity in the Lord’s work, or they may share that they are really seeking growth in some specific direction because they sense that they are needing more nourishment from God.

But being in season with God does not necessarily mean that there is also out-of-season resistance to growth.  God just works in our lives according to the seasons He has planned for us.  We just need to be like hungry plants, soaking up nutrition and water toward His work.

Lord, help us to want to be open toward You in our search for growth.  Show us where we need to feast next on your good nutrition for spiritual blossoms or fruit.  Show us how we are to grow into service in helping those with birth or end-of-life issues.

Topics:  Pray for wisdom on how the Lord will grow you in His work and also toward Him.
