§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Psalm 116:9-13   Thought/Prayer:  Just What Can we Render?  Topics:  2 at end.

“I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:
I said in my haste, All men are liars.
What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?
I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD. KJV

Today we might say, “What can I give God because he’s given me so much?”  Yes, what can we render unto God?  The psalmist answers, “ . .  take up the ‘cup of salvation’— which might mean different things to different people.  Perhaps it could mean being willing to do what God has for us to do.  This could make sense because the next phrase from the psalmist deals with calling upon the name of the LORD.  If we’re going to do what he has for us to do, it’s going to take some serious calls upward and inward.  Our eyes often glance up to the sky (with heaven in mind) when we think of God or want to address him.  Our eyes also should look inward, toward our hearts as we search Him deeply out.

Lord, this day we ask that we who seek LIFE on this globe will be willing to render back to you something meaningful for all your mercy toward us.  Help us to take up the cup of salvation in service.  Help us to look upward and inward as we seek your assistance as we look outward for ways to serve.  Lord, help us to then see the callings you have for us as we give back to you, as we desire.

Topics:  Pray for a heart-of-giving toward our benefactor God and the works he has for us among the peoples of Earth.
