§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Psalm 130:5, 6 (Pt. 2)

Thought/Prayer:  A Man Named Watchman.

“I wait for the Lord, my soul waits;
  and in his word I hope;
my soul waits for the Lord
  more than watchmen for the morning
  more than watchmen for the morning.”

In the book Against the Tide, by Angus Kinnear (pub. 1978), Watchman’s mother told God that if he would give her a much-desired Chinese boy baby (after bearing two girls), she would give him back to God to be God’s servant.  Her baby boy came on Nov. 4, 1903, and years later he would go by the name, Watchman Nee,  because his mother had promised Him to the Lord when the night watchman was beating his bamboo rattle that all was well (Tyndale House Publishers, 1981, pgs. 18-20).  He grew to rich depths of relationship in Christ and was a watchman for the maturity of local churches – he believed denominations should not exist.  He went against the tide on this and was persecuted for it, unto his death.

Here was a man actually known as Watchman, a man who died in prison because of his unique service to the Lord.  Should we not all be watchmen in the streets of life wherein we are called?  Those of us who love LIFE are already taking a position of watching, watching out for the unborn.  We may be thought of as patrolling on the walls and in the gates of buildings, and even cities.  Our prayers mark our watches for the Lord and His desire for LIFE to prevail.  Pray today to be faithful watchmen in our unique callings for LIFE.

Topics:  Pray for pro-lifers in each and every city and town in the USA, that our walls for life will not be breached for lack of a watchman.

Pray for every person in a prayer group, to pray for the strength to be avid watchmen.
