I Will Sing of His Love Forever
Psalm 89:2 (Pt. 5) “I will sing of the loving kindness of Yahweh forever. With my mouth, I will make known your faithfulness to all generations. I indeed declare, ‘Love stands firm forever. Proverbs 10:11 “The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.†(AKJV) (Read these scriptures and more at http://prayerpivot.com.)
In Psalm 89, the writer is singing, making known, and declaring. And what are all of these mouthy activities all about? (Of course they’re not as when someone gets “mouthy†in a sassy way!) Well, all of the words formed by lips, teeth and voice, here, are; praising God.
The words are . . . Singing of God’s loving kindness forever; Making known God’s faithfulness to all generations; Declaring that His love stands firm, forever. These can only be words from the mouth of a righteous man, as stated in Proverbs 10:11. No one who does not know God and his righteousness could ever sing about; declare; and make known: loving kindness; faithfulness; and firm love. Plus, the Proverbs passage says this righteous man (person) owns a mouth that is a “well of life.†How appropriate for pro-life work!
If we in the pro-LIFE network of ministry are faithful to maintain such praiseworthy-to-God speech in our work, we will be a well of life – and of LIFE in its purest pro-LIFE aspects. Our life will “well up†with LIFE.
No, we don’t have to sing solos: but our hearts can sing. And we can all declare, and make known. And when we stand for created LIFE, birth to the natural end, our lifestyle already is declaring and making known.
Lord, help us, in our lifestyles, to surrender our mouths, our speech, so much to You, that we will say and live all of these praiseworthy, welling-up endeavors to bring to LIFE-decisions those who need to make them so much.
