Abortion proponent Amanda Marcotte blogged last week:
It's the most common outpatient procedure in the country, and yet we write it off as fringe. There's only 694,000 open heart surgeries a year on average, 600,000 hysterectomies and 193,000 hip replacements a year – but there's 1.2 million abortions performed every year.
Marcotte was complaining about something not the topic of my column today but interesting nonetheless, that for only the second time since the controversial animated sitcom "Family Guy" began airing in 1999, Fox was refusing to air an episode – on abortion.
Marcotte didn't think it funny that Fox didn't think abortion was funny.
But as I said, I digress.

Field Agent Report Form
During and after the conversation with the residents, information needs to be gathered, for them and for us.
Organized for Life field agents shall carry a clipboard with the following materials attached to it:
- Survey
- Petition to end abortion
- Separate sheet for signing them up. We need to be able to follow-up, to respond to them and encourage them to get involved.
- Field Report form (at the back, always)
Field Report after holding a life-issue discussion with a pro-choice citizen (the Responder). At conversation’s end, Field Agents should ask the Responder to rate how he/she felt about current abortion law both before and after the conversation took place.
No report form needs to be completed if the person is pro-life or if no one answers the door.
