Ending Abortion Not Just The Funding Of It
The last week has been a frenzy of news about forced birth control funding, abortifacient funding and Religious institutions. The conservative media is eating this up as their ratings fly through the roof. They point their fingers at the evil liberals and Democrats and accuse them of violating separation of church and state. The conservative media and politicians are out en-masse decrying this attempt to trample the Constitution.
So what am I griping about? Shouldn’t we be happy that so many people are speaking up for the unborn? Oh yeah, they aren’t speaking up for the unborn, that’s the point. They are crying because they don’t want to have to pay for abortions and birth control. None of these conservative media and political leaders have ever called for an end to the destruction of innocent human beings like they are calling for the end of the funding of it.
Look, I’m not saying they never do anything, I’m saying that if conservatives put half the effort into ending abortion as they do to stop the funding of it, abortion would end in a week. We’ve spent 39 years on Hyde Amendment type provisions, all of which have allowed the continuation of abortion.
I propose every single life-loving person call their representatives once a month and demand an end to abortion. I propose that politicians, pastors and all conservative and life-loving people do the same. Every pro-life organization should put out this call.
