Homosexuals and The March for Life

I’ve been getting some flack about the audio interview we (Pro-Life Unity Radio) did with Cecilia Brown on Saturday, the president of the Pro-Life Alliance of Gays and Lesbians.

I posted a poll to go along with this interview at ProLifeUnity.com.  So far, most people believe they should be allowed to march, but half of the rest say that they should leave their banners at home, which leaves just 25% who say no.  Now for my two cents.

I believe they have a right to come to the March for Life and participate, as long as they are representing the unborn, not their agenda.  Yes, there are hundreds if not thousands of others who have banners that aren’t just pro-life banners.  There is a huge difference between “My School for Life” and “Homosexuals for Life” when it comes to a pro-life event which is paid for by an organization.

People may say “Well, they let others bring their banners, so I should be allowed to bring mine”.  The reality is, The March for Life is hosted by The March for Life Education and Defense Fund.  They have the right to say who will march and with what banners.  They pay for the permit and all the other expenses.  If anyone wants to participate, they should do it for the unborn, not to promote their organization or agenda.

We may have differences of opinion, but homosexuals have just as much of a right to defend the unborn as everybody else, all we ask is that they leave their banners at home.
