What Do Planned Parenthood And Most Churches Have In Common?

What do Planned Parenthood and most churches have in common? The love of money when it pertains to the abortion issue.

Planned Parenthood, of course, is a multi-million dollar operation, with a sizable chunk of their revenue resulting from abortions. Obviously, there is a tremendous amount of outrage from the pro-life community about this money-making operation. Also, there’s much disgust about the millions of taxpayer dollars that are funneled to Planned Parenthood.

Where is the outrage targeted at the thousands of churches that stand silent on this issue, for what I believe is one reason - the love of money. There’s been a murmur in the pro-life community about this, but the churches have basically ignored it. Because they are a tax-exempt organization, they don’t want even a hint of violating that designation, in fear that they would then have to pay taxes for their church. Consequently, they feel the congregation wouldn’t donate because they wouldn’t get a tax deduction. Even before the present administration, they were so worried about rocking the boat, that they just kept silent.

Also, I believe the silence of the churches is because they are convinced that any focus on this issue would cause them to lose donations even though they are still a non-profit entity. They fear that because some members may have had abortions or because the churches perceive this to be such a dividing issue, people would be offended, and the money would stop rolling in. Consequently, many rarely, if ever, mention the fact that 4,000 babies die every day in this country. Their love of money supersedes their voicing any dissenting word about the torture and slaughter of over a million babies a year in the United States alone. Of course, there are many Catholic Churches, plus assorted others who aren’t afraid to speak their minds on the horror of abortion and haven’t lost their non-profit status yet.

Most churches preach to their parishioners to practice a high moral lifestyle, but in reality they don’t practice what they preach. By turning away from this tragedy, they are in essence, condoning the behaviour, which is unconscionable on their part. It even seems ironic that churches regularly call their parishioners sinners, but they ignore the sin of killing innocent lives right under their collective noses. After the events of September 11, 2001, most churches had special services because of the nationwide horror and grief after losing 3,500 of our fellow citizens.  America loses this many every day in the name of abortion, but most churches stay silent for one reason - the love of money.
