Call to Action: Abortion Mandate Alert!

As early as this Sunday, February 21, the United States Congress will be unveiling the final, infamous health care bill, which has been debated for the past year.  In the House bill, the Stupak Amendment is still in place, which prohibits taxpayer money from funding abortion (except in the instances of rape, incest, and life of the mother).  However, in the Senate version of the bill, the pro-life amendment put forth by Ben Nelson was voted down.  President Obama, despite his rhetoric of wanting to “reduce abortion” and work on “common ground” has not been speaking out against the pro-abortion Senate health care bill.  If Obama sympathizers still believe his empty words, then they must read this article written by Steven Ertelt of LifeNews.com: http://www.lifenews.com/nat6012.html  In short, the President has given Planned Parenthood president, Cecile Richards, frequent access to the White House.  In August, when the town halls over health care began, Richards said, “Yesterday I attended a special meeting at the White House to discuss women and health insurance reform.”  We all know her true agenda: she undoubtedly pushed Obama to support abortion in the bills.

The Senate may circumvent the traditional method of passing a bill (60 vote majority) and instead use “reconciliation,” which means that they would only need 51 favorable votes.  If reconciliation is the way they choose, then the election of Scott Brown (R-MA) would mean nothing, at least in this instance.  This is why all pro-lifers need to reach out to their Senators and Representatives.  It is very easy to do:

For House Representatives:

For U.S. Senators:

Again, this is URGENT!  If Congress is releasing the final bill early next week, that means they are very, very close to taking a final vote.  Even if you have staunchly pro-life congressmen, contact them to let them know that you are supportive and are praying for them.  We must keep the pressure on the pro-abortion minded congressmen until they learn that the majority of Americans do NOT want to pay for child-killing with our tax-dollars.
