Georgia Sidewalk Counselors/Prayer Warriors Meeting, May 26, 2009: Update

We all benefit from the support and fellowship of each other, and the time of prayer at the end is a powerful time of uniting, strengthening and inspiring us all to continue in the fight! :-)

Please note: Hope Presbyterian Church is at the intersection of Sandy Plains and Wigley Roads. While the address is 4101 Sandy Plains Road, the driveway into the property is accessed from Wigley Road.
One little bit of info I rec’d today was very exciting - for the meeting I ordered 100 copies of a newspaper we started giving the Black Moms/Dads at the mills; while placing the order, I noticed a Spanish newspaper also and asked if sidewalk counselors have had success using it at the mills. The lady said, “Well….you know Eduardo Verástegui of the movie Bella? He hands them out at the mills in LA when he sidewalk counsels, and in one day the Lord saved 5 babies through the use of that newspaper.” I promptly ordered 100 of those too and cannot wait to see how God will use them here!! (The Spanish one is Ella es una niña, no una “opción”, and the one for the Black moms/dads is Did You Know (with an article by our own beloved Dr. Alveda King in it).
Also, Michelle Wolven, who has been sidewalk counseling locally for 13 years, has confirmed she will be there to share her many insights/experiences with us!

On May 26th, Pro-Life Unity will resume our monthly meetings for all current and potential sidewalk counselors and prayer warriors.
The meeting will include training in sidewalk counseling basics, an update on the Adopt the Mills Inititiative and Pro-Life Unity’s daughter organization, Alovita, and an opportunity to fellowship and pray with other sidewallk counselors/prayer warriors.
We’ll also have sample literature for you to take home.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Date: Tuesday, May 26th
Time: 7-9pm
