§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Nehemiah 8:10b (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  Joy without Boundaries.  Topics:  2 at end.

“’ . . . ‘‘for this day is holy unto our LORD: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.’” (AKJV)  Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com

II Corinthians 8:1-3
Generosity Commended
“But we desire to let you know, brethren, of the grace of God which has been bestowed on the Churches of Macedonia; how, while passing through great trouble, their boundless joy even amid their deep poverty has overflowed to increase their generous liberality. For I can testify that to the utmost of their power, and even beyond their power, they have of their own free will given help.”  (WEY)

In a letter, the apostle Paul here is telling the Christians in Corinth about how the Christians in Macedonia (Northern Greece) wished wholeheartedly to give to others even though they themselves were in deep poverty.  They still wanted to help the poor Christians in Jerusalem.  And in the middle of their own situation, they had “boundless joy.”

This joy overflowed!  This is the result of being “boundless.”  When a river overflows, there is no attention paid to boundaries.

The World English Bible talks of overflow from God in these words:  Psalm 65:11,12 “You crown the year with your bounty. Your carts overflow with abundance. The wilderness grasslands overflow. The hills are clothed with gladness.”  Boundless gifts from God.  And for the Macedonian Christians, it was JOY!

We see here that joy is not always a result of everything going well and life being just as we would like it.  Would anyone really choose “great trouble”?  Would we choose poverty, unless called to it by God?  The great majority of us would not.

But many families who experience the great trouble of life-and-death situations may consider themselves in great trouble.  And many are in poverty.  But still, even among these, there are those who trust in the Lord Jesus and His will, and there is a basic joy.  And those Christians of us who want to assist such families may experience blessings coming out of families with joy such as this, even if we ourselves are not able to solve their problematic situations.

Lord, help us to identify with the joy you put into people going through great trial.  We can be blessed so greatly from overflowing joy in the face of overwhelming circumstances.  But more so, may our own deep joy in You be seen in us, to help those who cannot see any joy anywhere.  But if they see You, joy is close at hand.

Topics:  Pray for those families in deep LIFE trials and even poverty to experience overflowing, abounding joy from the Lord.
Our nation’s schools – Teachers – and those of other nations – to be blessed by God with a pro-LIFE outlook
